KHALEK AWANG
He is a senior lawyer, and was admitted to the Malaysian Bar as an advocate and solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 1998, and thereafter co-founded a legal Firm Khalek Awang & Associates Since then, for the past 24 years, has been in legal practice, including as Trademark Agent, Advisory, and Corporate Liability Training and Consultancy.
He graduated with Bachelor of Laws (Hons) in 1991, Masters of Comparative Law in 1992. Post Graduate Diploma In Sariah Law & Practice in 1999 and currently completing his Master of Law (LL.M) in Islamic Banking and Finance.
Earlier in his career, from 1992 to 1997 he was a Law Lecturer at the Law Faculty International Islamic University specializing in Company Law, Land Law and Public International Law.
He has been giving lectures and talks and conduct trainings on franchise law and franchise business since the inception of Franchise Act 1998. In 2022, he has been elected the Assistant Secretary General of the Malaysia Franchise Association for the 2022/2024 session.
